I have collected vintage toys for years and they hold a special place in my heart. I really enjoy buying and selling and being part of the vintage toy community. Please follow me! I do toy reviews on toys that I collect and sell. Let me know if you yourself have any websites or vintage toy accounts and I will happily have a look and follow. I love looking at other people’s pictures and videos of vintage toys.

SMALL PRINT!

MY LISTINGS:

  • Photos are usually of the exact item you will receive unless I have multiples of the item which will show on the listing. If I have multiples of the item, you will get the one I consider to be in best condition.
  • Photos form part of the description so please have a look!
  • I am happy to answer any questions that you have. If you are not sure of anything, please ask.
  • I list items on eBay as well. Occasionally an item may be sold on eBay before I can take it off this store. Apologies if this happens.

ITEM DESCRIPTIONS:

  • I try to be as honest as I can in item descriptions and provide as many photos as I can. If you have any questions relating to the photos, please contact me.
  • I sell old toys and sometimes the toys have wear or damage. I will always try to describe any imperfections.
  • I would never intentionally sell something that is damaged without describing it or photographing it.
  • I am human and will sometimes make mistakes. I am very honest and will do my best to remedy any mistakes.
  • My home is smoke and pet free.

PRICE MATCHING OR BEATING:

  • If I can, I will price match or beat similar items.
  • However, with vintage toys there is a lot to think about such as condition and completeness so please bear this in mind and compare like to like.
  • I include postage and packing in most of my items. I cannot usually do this with international postage.

PACKAGING:

  • I realise that the items I sell are collectables and mean a lot to people. I always wrap professionally with bubble wrap and boxes or padded large letter envelopes.
  • If I send a delicate small item in a large letter, it will be wrapped in folded cardboard too.
  • If I send a vintage boxed item, the box will not have new tape stuck to it to close it! I know how annoying it is when that happens!
  • I do my utmost to ensure items arrive in the condition you expect them.
  • I aim to only use Royal mail as they have a much better reputation that some couriers.
  • If the item is too large for Royal Mail, I will use another reliable courier such as Parcelforce.

POSTAGE:

  • I have a Royal Mail Business account and they collect from me every day except Saturdays and Sundays.
  • K. postage is included in the item price.
  • I do have to consider other costs such as packaging, bubble wrapping, ink, labels, time taken to wrap large items etc. so please think about this if you try to contact me regarding any postage costs.
  • I try to post as soon as possible. I aim to post within 24 hours, but work may sometimes affect this. I sometimes work long hours at short notice.
  • I say that items will be posted within 3 days to be safe.
  • If there is a delay for any reason, I will do my best to message the customer and keep them informed.
  • For large items I may need to use other reliable couriers.
  • If you need your item on a specific date, please let me know before bidding or buying to ensure it is possible. I always do my best to help out.
  • If you are worried you item has not arrived or has been lost let me know and we can try and sort it out. Royal Mail does not allow claims for lost items until 10 working days have passed. I would ask that you at least wait that long.
  • Bank holidays can sometimes mean no postage collection as post offices close.
  • Strike action can cause long delays of up to two weeks or more. There is nothing I can do about this I’m afraid. I cannot make any claims of lost mail until 10 working days have passed. Please be patient if you make an order during any strike action.

 INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:

  • I do post outside the United Kingdom.
  • I will only post tracked and insured.
  • I have to be honest on the customs forms, as otherwise items would not be covered for loss or damage. Please do not ask me to write on forms that items are gifts etc to avoid fees as I will not do this.
  • Please research any customs duties that you may need to pay in your country when ordering from me.
  • The main courier I use for international shipping is Royal Mail and I base my rates on the Royal Mail website.

Shipping & Returns

U.K. Shipping

We aim to give free shipping in the United Kingdom via Royal Mail. Shipping to other countries will also be via Royal Mail in most cases unless items are too large. If items are too large for Royal Mail we will aim to use a reliable courier such as Parcel Force.

International shipping

International orders will be posted with Roayl Mail tracking.

International buyers please note that any customs duty or tax by you home country will NOT be included in the price. After item/s are sent to you, your local customs may write to you requesting customs duties are paid. In some cases you may need to collect items from your local customs office or post office. If items are returned due to non-collection or non payment of customs charges then you would be expected to cover the postage cost.

Combined shipping

In some cases we can combine shipping. Just message us if you are interested in this. Shipping must include insurance to cover an items value. Sometiems combining items will not be posisble depending on what they are (size, what they are made of etc).

How we ship

We use a Royal Mail Business account. Collection of mail happens most days and we aim to post within 24 hours of an order coming in. Orders after 1000am will usually need to be shipped the following day.

We use bubble envelopes, bubble wrap and boxes carefully to ensure items get to you in good condition.

Royal Mail does not collect from us on Saturdays and Sundays and so if an item is purchased on Friday afternoons or during the weekend then it will be posted on Monday. If outside actions occur such as  bank holidays, illness or postage strikes then shipping times may be delayed for a longer period.

Holiday periods such as Christmas

If purchasing items for Christmas and other holidays please bear in mind that it is a very busy period for Royal Mail. Items should be purchased by 16th December at the latest for U.K. customers. For customers outside the U.K. please refer to Royalmail.com for guides on how long items may take to get to you.

Other postage FAQ's:

Royal Mail collect from us every day except Saturdays and Sundays. In some urgent cases we may be able to arrange collections for Saturdays.

  • We try to post as soon as possible. We aim to post within 24 hours but outside factors may sometimes affect this.
  • If there is a delay for any reason, I will do my best to message you and keep you informed.
  • For large items I may need to use other reliable couriers such as Parcel Force. We will not use couriers with bad reputations.
  • If you need your item on a specific date, please let me know before buying to ensure it is possible. I always do my best to help out and we can upgrade the shipping at your cost sometimes.
  • If you want to upgrade postage for the item to arrive quicker let us know and we should be able to arrange this.
  • If you are worried  that your item has not arrived or has been lost let me know and we can try and sort it out. Royal Mail does not allow claims for lost items until 10 working days have passed. I would ask that you at least wait that long.
  • Strike action can cause long delays of up to two weeks or more. There is nothing I can do about this I’m afraid. Please be patient if you make an order during any strike action.

International Postage:

  • Royal Mail tracked will be used for postage outside of the United Kingdom.
  • If your item is large then in some cases a different courier may need to be used such as Parcel Force.
  • Where possible I will combine items that are posted abroad to save you postage costs. If you buy items together I can work out the cost so the items are covered by insurance and then send any refund if applicable.
  • Any customs charges would need to be worked out by the buyer as you may be charged when the item is sent to you.
  • I have to declare the true price of items and that items sent were sold to the customer. To not do this would be breaking the law and lead to items not being insured.
  • Please do not hestitate to ask any questions about this. I have sent items all around the world and have a lot of experience in sending items to verious places!

Care Instructions

The vintage toys we sell are for adults. They are not suitable for children as they are collectors items and some are very old and fragile.

Most of the vintage toys we sell were made in the 1970's, 1980's and 1990's. They are collectors items. They therefore do not have warranties from original manurfacturer. The vintage toys we sell are collector's items that are aimed at adult collectors and not children. They are decades old and should be treated with care. Over the years many toys become fragile and are more likely to be damaged if not looked after properly. Many of these toys have small parts that are not suitable for children.

Many of the producers or makers of the toys no longer exist as factories or companies have closed or been bought out.
